Shih Tzu (medium coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Small Learn more about the Shih Tzu.
Charlotte was relinquished to Chicago Animal Control by her family because she was rear paralyzed. Our rescue used conservative cage rest and helped her recover. She is 99% improved, walking and no longer incontinent. We are please with her progress. We expect her to do well with care and a family that will take her for therapy and water treadmill to prevent recurrence. She is an awesome dog with an awesome amount of love to give. She needs a gentle home. No young kids or rowdy dogs. It is possible she could be paralyzed again in the future Her new family has to be prepared for that and all it will take to continue her care. We will not allow her to be given to a family that will give her up again in the event she did get paralyzed again. If you are willing to take her full care no matter what then please contact us. She is in a home in foster care. We are all volunteers and work full time. We will try to get back to you in 48 hours. Charlotte is vaccinated, had a recent dental, microchipped and spayed, More about CharlotteGood with Dogs, Is Not Good with Kids
