Basil is a sweet shihtzu puppy released from a puppy mill breeder. He is a touch shy but overall very friendly will easily lose his timidity and blossom in his own loving home. He is 3 months old, and not likely to get very big. Like all puppies he will need structure and a patient loving home. We recommend training for all puppies not only to give the puppy learning skill. But you and your puppy/dog will create a stronger bond just for having gone to training. Basil is fully vetted, He has been neutered, received age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, Subsequent vaccines are at the expense of his adopter, His adoption donation is $1200.00. He is on the hunt for her own completely committed family, Little Dogs can live to be 20+ years old so he wants to be sure his family is all in for better or for worse! IF INTERESTED IN A PUPPY (UNDER 9 MONTHS): YOU MUST HAVE A FLEXIBLE WORK SCHEDULE OR SOMEONE HOME ALL DAY. PUPPIES NEED TO BE LET OUT TO POTTY OFTEN, THEY NEED SOCIALIZATION AND BONDING AND NEED TRAINING (HOUSETRAINING AND BEHAVIORAL TRAINING). IF YOU WORK LONG HOURS, HAVE A BUSY SOCIAL SCHEDULE OR NOT FINANCIALLY SECURE THEN A PUPPY IS NOT FOR YOU. We adopt in the local Chicago metro area. We require home visits, If you would like to apply to be considered as an adoption candidate to adopt Basil please fill out an application for him adoption on our website at: https://www.rescuetailsanimalwelfare.org/info/aoption We are all volunteers with full time jobs. We try to get back to all applicants within 72 hours.
